Aloha Dan,

What a wonderful podcast."...it's not what you wear on your feet, it is how you run." I was taught old school mechanics by my X country coach. Again, before the shoes were high tech. You had two choices puma, or tiger. Both racing flat weighing only a few ounces. The advice about building up calves and gaining sensory information from your foot; well that is precious knowledge. There is a lot of balance information lost by shoes- barefoot helps with that too. I think. What good tips, and you are spot on when you say running on hard surfaces, corrects your running style quickly!! Keep those heels off the ground!! Thanks so much for a delightful upbeat conversation.
