Charlie Kimball - IndyCar Driver - The fastest podcast we've ever done!

IndyCar driver Charlie Kimball joins us to talk about the special sports medicine needs of an IndyCar driver as well as his special physiological needs.  Charlie is the first elite racing driver to race with Type 1 Diabetes and it is incredibly interesting to hear how his team (and IndyCar) handles his condition.  Charlie is by far and away, he's the fastest athlete we've talked to!

A couple of links that we mention in the podcast:

•  Charlie Kimball's website

•  Izod IndyCar Series

Okay Charlie and Tim, that, my friends, was a checkered flag podcast. The last fifteen minutes, gave so much actual real life information (87% of your max heartbeat for THREE HOURS?!) Kinda of puts those 15 minutes of moderate walking standards - in perspective. Astronauts were worried about 15 minutes of high g? Stuff like that , really reaches us weekend warriors. The mind-body connection. Can you imagine jogging at 90% of your max, and then getting right off and doing a calculus problem (a partial differentiation to boot!)? The joy, the work he has done, and the message he has to share- all got out today. Great job! Charlie , I think your goals are realistic, and you will surpass them! See you in the corners! Smiles Kevin

One of the best podcasts ever. And not just because I am a Charlie Kimball fan. He is a great example of an athlete and race car driver. It has been a pleasure to work with him.
