Dr. Beeler received his PhD in Neurobiology from the University of Chicago after a Masters in Social Work from University of Chicago and a Bachelors in Secondary Education from Arizona State. He completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Neurobiology at the University of Chicago and is currently an Associate Professor. Dr. Beeler’s lab focuses on Information processing and plasticity in basal ganglia circuitry and its contribution to motivational plasticity, behavioral flexibility and neuropsychiatric disorders (PD, obesity, addiction, depression). Dr. Beeler’s scientific work (over 35 scientific papers) has been supported by a variety of funding agencies including the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Beeler is the Academic Editor for PLoS One as well as being a reviewer for several scientific journals.
